Steve is a life-long resident of Bridgeport. He graduated from Bridgeport High School in 1971 and Hastings College in 1975 with a B.A. in Business Administration and Economics.

Steve and his wife, Helen, purchased the Eldon R. Evers Agency in 1984. He is a member of the Lions Club, Bridgeport Chamber of Commerce, Camp Clarke #285 Masonic Lodge, Shrine Club, and the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church. Steve is also a city councilman.

The Plummers have three children: Allison, a graduate student in Chicago; Andrew, a junior at Hastings College; and Christopher, a junior at Bridgeport High School.

Steve Jobman grew up in Lisco, NE and graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1982. He attended Nebraska Western College on a basketball scholarship, graduating in 1984 with an Associates degree in Business. He worked for Bankers Life in Scottsbluff after college and still has a life and health agency in Bridgeport and Oshkosh.

Steve has worked at Plummer Insurance, Inc., since 1986. He is the owner of a farm/ranch near Bayard, where he and his wife, Sherry, live with their three children: Samantha (a senior at Bayard High School), Shaylee (sophomore), and Spencer (7th grade).

He has been involved in rodeo for most of his life, both as a participant and sponsor. Steve is an active youth league coach and is a member of the Bayard Booster Club, Bridgeport Chamber of Commerce, and the Garden County Chamber of Commerce.

Steve is available every Wednesday at Lake Real Estate, 301 Main St, in Oshkosh.

An employee of the agency since 1980, Kay (Tschacher) Varah graduated from Hemingford High School in 1973. Kay attended Chadron State College, earning an Associate degree in Accounting.

Kay is a member of the Bridgeport Lions Club and the Chamber of Commerce. She and her husband, Kirk, own a farm near Redington and also are co-owners of Riverside Lumber in Bridgeport. Their son, Joel, lives and works in Lincoln, Nebraska.

When not at work, Kay enjoys projects around the farm, tending to their animals, and golf.

A 1978 graduate of Bridgeport High School, Irene (Chikos) Pappas attended Nebraska Western College, attaining her Associates degree in 1980. She began work at Plummer Insurance, Inc., in 1983 and was promoted to Claims Manager in 1987.

She is a member of the Greek Orthodox Church, Assumption Philoptochos Society, and Bridgeport Chamber of Commerce. She serves on the operating board for Prairie Winds Community Center and volunteers as a coach for the local youth sports programs.

Irene and her husband, Paul, own a farm and are the proud parents of Nicholas, a 6th-grader at Bridgeport Schools, and John, who is in second grade.

Enid (McNamara) Jacobson grew up in Bird Island, MN, graduating from Bird Island High School in 1979. She attended the University of Wisconsin at Menomonie and graduated with a B.A. in Merchandising in 1983.

Enid married local farmer/rancher Ken Jacobson in 1985 and started with Plummer Insurance, Inc., in November 1988 as a crop insurance service specialist. The Jacobsons have two children, Thomas, a junior at Bridgeport High School, and Renae, a freshman.

She is a member of All Souls Catholic Church, Beta Sigma Phi sorority, and the Bridgeport Chamber of Commerce. In her spare time, Enid sponsors and teaches a tap dance group. She also enjoys reading and scrapbooking.

The newest member of our team, Laura (Erickson) Hedin began with Plummer Insurance, Inc., in May, 2000. She is a 1983 Bridgeport High School graduate and earned a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Hawaii-Hilo in 1987.

Laura is a member of the First Baptist Church, P.E.O., chairperson of the City Board of Adjustments, and treasurer for the local golf course. Her "hobby-jobby" has developed into a part-time business, By Laura in Print, specializing in photography and on-demand custom printing.

Along with her husband, Troy, and 16-year-old daughter, Sadie, Laura enjoys camping, fishing, scrapbooking and travelling.
