On January 20th, Plummer Insurance presented a $10,000 monetary donation to Kimball Hospital Foundation to be applied to the Kimball Hospital construction project. The project includes renovating and rebuilding the former West Elementary school and roughly 40,000 square feet of new construction. Construction is slated to begin in May.
The fundraiser seeks to raise $2.2 million from private donations. Although they only began efforts last week, they have already raised $1.5 million of that goal.
“This is a very impressive fundraising effort from the Kimball community and we are very proud to be able to participate in it.” President Andrew Plummer said. “This new facility will have an extremely positive impact on the wellbeing of Kimball County, as well as a significant economic impact for future generations of Kimball.”
Added Kimball agent Jo Dee Woolington: “Plummer Insurance believes in investing in communities that invest in themselves, and we believe the New Hospital Construction Project is an important investment in Kimball’s future. I have lived and worked in Kimball for many years and it will be exciting to see expanded health care and increased economic opportunities for the region. Both are necessary for the survival and growth of a small community and we look forward to being a part of it.”
Originally established in 1984, Plummer Insurance emerged in Kimball through the acquisition of Points West Insurance on January 1st, 2021. In addition to their Kimball location, the agency has seven other locations throughout Western Nebraska and Eastern Colorado.
